When we answer the invitation to silence and Centering Prayer; we begin our practice, then we may start to experience the unloading of the unconscious. We talk about the grounding of the false-self in the energy centers of safety/security, affection/esteem, power/control; and we even share experiences of the dark nights. What we don’t spend much time expressing is how these practices have altered our lives in a positive way. This year’s theme of: “Celebrating the gifts of Spiritual Journey; the gift of Fr Thomas and the gifts of Centering Prayer” is an attempt to do just that; celebrate what this great man has done, and how the practice of Centering Prayer has manifested in “your” life.
Light refreshments will be served.
Suggested donation is $15 and proceeds are shared with the international office of Contemplative Outreach, Ltd.
